ResponsibilitiesPeraton seeks a Cyber Defense AnalystJob Responsibilities:

• Coordinate incident response functions and provide expert technical support to enterprise-wide cyber defense technicians to resolve incidents.
• Correlate incident data to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
• Analyze log files from various sources (host logs, network traffic logs, firewall logs, IDS logs) to identify threats.
• Perform cyber defense incident triage, including scope, urgency, vulnerability identification, and remediation recommendations.
• Conduct trend analysis and reporting on cyber defense activities.
• Collect forensic images and inspect systems for mitigation/remediation opportunities.
• Handle real-time incident response tasks such as forensic collections, intrusion tracking, threat analysis, and system remediation.
• Analyze network alerts to determine causes and track incidents from detection to resolution.
• Apply defense-in-depth principles to enhance security robustness.
• Collect intrusion artifacts to facilitate threat mitigation.
• Coordinate with intelligence analysts to assess threats and monitor external threat data sources.Qualifications- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD; or 9 years with a HS Diploma.- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.Peraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company supporting missions worldwide, providing solutions across all domains-land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace.
