General Summary of Position
Medstar Health is looking for -a -Diagnostic Technologist -to join -our -team! This is a part-time position every other weekend -Every other weekend Sat and Sunday evenings from 3p-1:30am. 10 hours per week. -We are looking for fora -registered Radiology Technologist with excellent communication skills. -The -Diagnostic Technologist -will make a difference on our team by performing diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation.Join one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro region, also -recognized as one of the "Healthiest Maryland Businesses". Sends images to -appropriate destinations -for interpretation. -Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. -Performs preventative maintenance regularly.Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures. -Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares and -maintains -room.Performs radiographic examinations. -Prepares -written -documentation such -as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. -Requests and will order -supplies.
Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland.Basic Life Support (BLS).Associate degree -preferred. -
