The Athletic Academic Advisor will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the academic success of assigned teams including weekly meetings with student-athletes, coordinating academic reports, communicating with faculty and coaches.
The Athletic Academic Advisor will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the academic success of assigned teams including weekly meetings with student-athletes, coordinating academic reports, communicating with faculty and coaches.
Responsibilities include:
Assists with initial and continuing eligibility. Teaches a freshmen introduction to the university course, PHED 202 (fall only). Assists with the recruitment of new student-athletes. Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Academic

• Bachelor's Degree preferably in counseling, education, special education, curriculum and instruction, sports psychology or sport related field.
• At least one year of professional experience working as a learning specialist, or in an academic advising, teaching, or counseling, preferably with Division I student-athletes.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
