Job Description:

St. Mark School, located in Catonsville, Maryland has an opening for a 5th grade teacher and homeroom teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Teacher is responsible for working with students in grade 5. The teacher will create and teach appropriate lessons using the AOB curriculum guidelines and follow other protocol for teachers. Join our talented team of educators! Job Responsibilities:

• Follows the AOB curriculum and best practices in development of daily instructional plan.
• Use varied assessment tools to perform both formative and summative assessments by demonstrating a willingness to respond to individual learning needs.
• Collaborates with grade level teaches to enhance and support instructional planning as well as collaborating with content area teachers or cross-curricular assignments.
• Communicates effectively with students, parents and administration in all matters related school.
• Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.
• Implement lesson plans utilizing a variety of techniques to motivate, challenge and
• engage students.
• Perform various non-teaching related duties such as recess, lunch, etc.Job Requirements: Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or other related field.
  • Current MSDE certification or ability to achieve required certification
  • Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods/strategies, and curriculum differentiation.
  • Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
