Job Description:

Andy Frain Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled K9 Handler to join our team, providing specialized security services primarily in the aviation and event sectors. The ideal candidate will work closely with a trained security dog to ensure the safety and security of premises, personnel, and the public in various high-stress and sensitive situations. This position demands high ethical standards and a strong commitment to excellence in security practices. Conduct patrol duties with a trained security dog across various client locations, including airports and event venues. Manage the care and maintenance of the K9, including health, grooming, and overall well-being. Respond to emergency situations quickly and efficiently using the K9 to detect substances such as explosives or narcotics when necessary. Engage in continuous training with the K9 to ensure both the handler and the dog's skills remain effective and compliant with security protocols. Document all patrol activities and incidents, ensuring detailed and accurate reporting. Assist law enforcement officers when required and work collaboratively with other security personnel. Educate and advise the public and other stakeholders on security measures and procedures. Strong handling skills with highly-trained security dogs Ability to work under pressure and adjust to unforeseen situations Excellent physical conditioning to manage intensive patrols and emergency responses Proficient in security systems and emergency response techniques Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of tactful dealing with diverse populations Certified as a professional K9 Handler by a recognized authority First aid and CPR certification Completion of a recognized law enforcement or private security training academy
