qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
practical experience. 3 years of experience in system design or one
programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.). 3 years of
experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing
internal/external partners or customers. Preferred qualifications:
Experience translating business requirements into technology
solutions for customers adopting cloud solutions. Experience
collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators and
third-party developers to deliver high-impact solutions. Experience
in application/workload migration to public cloud providers such as
Google Cloud Platform. Ability to engage effectively with
executives of large enterprises on both technical and non-technical

and partners. As an Application Modernization Engineer, you will
work with customers to transform existing enterprise applications
into modern, cloud native applications to reduce time to launch,
increase release frequency, reduce time to recovery and failure
rate. You will propose and execute, including code development,
approaches to modernize Google’s customer’s applications and deploy
them to Google Cloud Platform. You will work with customers on
application re-design and implementation, including application
scaling and reliability. You will also advise on ongoing operations
such as application and feature rollouts, monitoring, and more.
Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and
Product Engineering to build and drive excellence in our products.
In this role, you are the Google Engineer working with Google's
most strategic Cloud customers. Together with the team, you will
support customer adoption of Google Cloud products through
architecture guidance, best practices, application migration,
implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and much more. Google

educational institutions. The US base salary range for this
full-time position is $127,000-$183,000 bonus equity benefits. Our
salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within
the range, individual pay is determined by work location and
additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and

Responsibilities Serve as a key business advisor and create a
center of excellence around cloud application development
technologies, including the hiring, onboarding, and management of
both full-time employees and contingent workforce. Establish
processes to drive the Service Delivery AppDev strategy in support
of the business, including responsibility for AppDev-related
pre-sales Statement of Work (SoW) support and approval activities,
and serve as the primary point of contact with regional teams for
any data-related needs. Manage processes to create reusable
artifacts for public sector business, working in partnership with
other service delivery teams to establish global processes for
various compliance or private cloud related solutions for the aimed
customers. Present technical materials effectively to various
stakeholder groups. Engage effectively with executives of
enterprises on both technical and non-technical matters.
