As a Systems Engineer Lead specializing in storage at CGI Federal, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of storage solutions for a federal law enforcement agency’s classified environment. This role involves hands-on storage engineering combined with leadership responsibilities, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of storage systems, mentoring junior engineers, and advising stakeholders on storage strategy and governance. Your future duties and responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and management of storage solutions for a federal law enforcement agency’s classified data processing systems directorate. Ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of storage systems across classified environments. Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and software development teams to integrate storage solutions, develop use cases, and support deployment and maintenance activities. Support system authorization and continuous monitoring activities, maintain comprehensive storage documentation, and ensure solutions align with federal standards and mission requirements. Lead storage strategy workshops, roadmap development, and stakeholder presentations. Architect storage integration pipelines, develop storage specifications, dashboards, and KPIs. Align storage development to NIST SP 800-53 and ISCM requirements. Extend storage capabilities to AWS/Azure/GCP and integrate with automation and orchestration tools. Establish content lifecycle governance and mentor junior staff. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Minimum of seven (7) years in storage engineering with expertise in designing and implementing secure storage solutions. One or more of the following certifications: NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) EMC Proven Professional Certification AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Desired; Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in federal government or diplomatic environment at the department level or experience supporting classified environments within federal law enforcement or Intelligence Community organizations. Experience integrating storage solutions with cybersecurity tools, network infrastructure, and cloud platforms. Experience with storage solutions in hybrid/zero-trust architectures. Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks (800-53, 800-171, 800-190). Additional cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
