Job Summary Monitors, controls, and isolates problems in a data communications network. General Responsibilities Monitors all network activity. Activates/deactivates network lines according to established schedules. Incorporate new design/configuration and systems into ongoing operations. Ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined architectures Performs first- and/or second-level problem determination (first level is help desk). Interfaces with users and/or network vendors. Job Qualifications Experience working with network systems and networking principles and practices Experience working with networking software and hardware Experience working with security systems and implementation procedures Experience with equipment such as CISCO, Juniper, and Riverbed Ability to derive lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements that describe in detail the functions that a system component must fulfill, ensure these requirements are complete, correct, unique, unambiguous, realizable, and verifiable, and generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions Ability to define the methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which the systems, subsystems, and work products are verified against their requirements in a written plan Possess Department of Defense (DoD) security access of ADP I, ADP II, or ADP III Familiar with operating won HP, DELL, and Cisco CLEARANCE: Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
