Cath Lab Tech Location: Martinsburg, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,956 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour Days Hours per Shift: 4 shifts per week, with 10-11 call shifts per month Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab License: Required Certifications: - ACLS (AHA) - BLS (AHA) - Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have: - Experience with IABP and IVUS Description: The position involves working in a cardiac catheterization lab. The candidate will be responsible for scrubbing and circulating/monitoring cases. The role includes providing support for interventional cardiology and hybrid OR procedures. Common cases include STEMI, peripheral interventions, and device implants. On average, the Cath Lab handles 4-5 cases per day, with some days having as few as 2 or up to 9 cases. Collaboration with a three-person team comprising two RNs and one technologist is required. Participation in call shifts is necessary, with an average of 10-11 call shifts per month. The candidate will work with a comprehensive team that includes pharmacy support 24/7. Scrubs will be provided for the position, ensuring compliance with color coding for roles. Charting is performed using an electronic medical record system. Familiarity with specific medical equipment and processes is beneficial but not mandatory. The role may involve floating to non-invasive cardiovascular settings as needed. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
