ICU/Critical Care RN in Clinton, Maryland, 20735! Job Title: ICU
Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive
Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours
(19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License:
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates
must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a
minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
Candidates must float to IMC, Med/Surg Telemetry, or Emergency
Department as needed. Six weekend shifts required within a six-week
period. No on-call shifts required. Description: The ICU Registered
Nurse will provide care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients
with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. They must
demonstrate expertise in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing
patients on ventilators. The nurse will administer medications,
including IV insulin protocols and cardiac drips. They will perform
procedures such as monitoring pulmonary artery lines and managing
central lines. The ICU Registered Nurse will collaborate with
interdisciplinary team members, including respiratory therapists
and pharmacists. They must ensure compliance with infection
prevention and isolation precautions. The role requires proficiency
in patient assessments, plan implementation, and outcome
evaluation. The nurse will maintain accurate patient records
utilizing the Cerner charting system. The position involves caring
for adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of
approximately 16 patients. Candidates will be expected to meet
compliance requirements, including completing assigned training
modules in a timely manner. This position requires strong critical
thinking skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
