Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare provider in the
D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is looking for a Transplant Clinical
Dietitian I to join our team. Focused on delivering compassionate
and specialized nutritional care, the Transplant Clinical Dietitian
will play a crucial role in improving the health outcomes of our
transplant patients. This position requires expertise in nutrition
therapy and patient care management, specifically tailored to the
needs of transplant recipients. Assess nutritional needs, diet
restrictions, and current health plans to develop and implement
dietary-care plans for transplant patients. Consult with physicians
and healthcare personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet
restrictions of patients. Monitor patient progress and adapt plans
as needed based on patient's conditions and treatment goals.
Educate patients and their families on proper nutritional care
before and after the transplant. Collaborate with the transplant
team to integrate dietary plans with overall medical care. Document
all patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes in
accordance with MedStar Health's protocols and compliance
requirements. Expertise in nutritional therapies for transplant
patients Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to
work effectively in a multidisciplinary team Proficient in
nutritional planning software and patient management systems
