Job Description:
HCA Healthcare invites qualified and committed professionals to
join our team as a Float Pool Certified Surgical Tech. In this
dynamic role, you will travel between our various locations,
adapting to diverse surgical teams and environments to support a
wide range of surgical procedures. We are dedicated to providing
superior patient care, and this position plays a fundamental role
in the success of our surgical operations across the U.S. This role
requires adaptability, skilled surgical assistance, and a deep
commitment to patient safety and ethical medical practice. Prepare
operating rooms for surgery including sterilizing equipment,
ensuring necessary equipment is available and in working order.
Assist during surgeries as directed by surgeons and registered
nurses in a variety of surgical procedures. Ensure strict adherence
to aseptic techniques and sterilization standards to maintain a
sterile environment during surgical procedures. Travel between
hospital and facility locations as required by the float pool
schedule, adapting quickly to new teams and protocols. Provide
patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures,
ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times. Participate in
pre-operative and post-operative discussions and briefings.
Maintain clear and accurate patient records, documenting actions
and ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of patient
information. In-depth knowledge of sterile techniques and operating
room procedures. Ability to maintain high standards of safety and
cleanliness. Good physical stamina and dexterity. Effective
communication skills with the ability to adapt to different teams
and work environments. Quick decision-making and problem-solving
