Full Time & Part Time Regular Staff Only As a Director of Wellness,
you will carry out our Mission of Love by providing leadership in
the development and implementation of behavior change wellness
programs, wellness coaching, exercise prescription, group fitness
classes and special events for populations served. Our Director of
Wellness is responsible for the following: Design and implement
fitness, aquatics, health/wellness education activities and events
to support health/wellness needs of Masonic Village community and
the Elizabethtown area. Develop annual expense, revenue, operating,
and capital expenditure budgets for the Wellness Center and pools
to provide for efficient daily operation and future needs Provide
leadership and ensure implementation of gold standards of practice
in the health/wellness/fitness industry for populations served.
Provide leadership and ensure implementation of standards in the
aquatic/swimming pool industry in accordance with the Department of
Health and Department of Agriculture. Develop materials and
strategies for recruitment and retention of wellness center
members/class participants to meet established corporate membership
goals. Responsible for maintaining established staffing plan
through effective recruitment, interviewing and selection of the
best suited candidates. Mentor staff through regular performance
reviews and refer to continuing education programs Prepare monthly,
quarterly, and annual administrative reports for organizational
strategic planning and administration. Design plans with
physicians/rehabilitation personnel to generate referrals
(rehabilitation/ WC) to the Wellness Center, aquatic programs and
all group exercise programs. Design and implement an on-going
safety/wellness/fitness continuum of care for Workers' Compensation
employees for their well-being. Confer with representatives from
our insurance companies and broker on corporate wellness and
ergonomic initiatives designed to lower medical claims costs, STD,
LTD, injuries, absenteeism and presenteeism for the organization.
Recommend, develop, and implement ergonomic policy and procedure
for all Masonic Village locations, and consult with internal
departments to meet basic guidelines and reduce potential risk
factors for injury. Serve as the Chairperson of several campus
wellness committees focusing on employee and resident well-being in
all dimensions of wellness. What You Have: Master of Education
degree in a health-related field, with course work that minimally
includes: Health/Wellness Program Development, Exercise Science,
Wellness Coaching, Management, and required certifications below.
Five years in a leadership role with experience in exercise
prescription, group fitness implementation, wellness/health
education and programming for adults, age 55 and older. Prior
facility/pool management and supervisory experience. Ergonomic
training and injury prevention experience preferred. Maintain
appropriate certifications required. Required Certification: CPR
and First Aid/AED ACSM Health /Exercise physiologist or equivalent.
Preferred (in addition to Required): Wellness/Fitness/Strength
Training/Nutrition for the 50 populations or equivalent. Certified
Health Promotion Director or equivalent. We are proud to be an
