summary: The Dental Public Health Physician provides comprehensive
dental care to pediatric, adult, and special needs patients at the
University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute.
The role requires assessment and treatment aligned with
professional standards, cultural competence, and compassion.
Applicants must hold a dental license in Maryland, have completed a
pediatric dental residency, and possess CPR certification. Company

many others. Job Description Provides an advanced level of
comprehensive dental care of pediatric, adult and special needs
population under the direction of the Chief of Dentistry. Provides
patient care and treatment consistent with the mission and values
of the University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic
Institute (UMROI) and in accordance within the scope of practice,
professional, and regulatory standards. Must demonstrate the
knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the
age, culture, ethnicity, and specific individual diagnostic needs
of the patients served in his/her department. He/she must be able
to assess and interpret data about the patient’s status in order to
identify each patient’s specific needs and provide the care needed
by the patient group (pediatric, adolescents and/or geriatric
patient group, culture and diagnostic specific). Consistently
expresses and demonstrates compassion and courtesy for patients.
Extends courtesy and support to patient’s families/visitors.
Qualifications Education & Experience Current licensure to practice
in the state of MD is required. CPR Certification is required.
Credentialed according to Medical Staff Bylaw. Graduate from an
accredited Dental School. Completion of a pediatric dental
residency program. At least one year of clinical experience is
preferred. Additional information Pay Range: $246,999 - $247,000
