Job Description:
The Johns Hopkins Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Chronic
Fatigue Clinic Practitioner (an Adult Nurse Practitioner, or a
Family Nurse Practitioner) to join the Division of Adolescent and
Young Adult Medicine. The clinician will help with the management
of adult patients in the Chronic Fatigue Clinic, which provides
care for individuals with a variety of fatiguing conditions,
including myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome
(ME/CFS), long COVID, orthostatic intolerance, and Ehlers-Danlos
syndrome.
The mission of the Chronic Fatigue program is to provide
outstanding clinical care to adolescents and adults with ME/CFS and
related disorders, to perform research that improves our scientific
and clinical understanding of these illnesses, and to educate
medical professionals and the public about the conditions. The
NP/PA's primary responsibilities will be to provide clinical care
(including initial and follow-up evaluations, prescribing, patient
education, letters, prescription refills, insurance prior
authorizations, responding to e-mails, helping with academic and
work accommodations) and contribute to the clinical research
mission of the Clinic.
