You'll find a collaborative team of coworkers and providers, as well as consistent hours - and we enjoy paid holidays plus paid time off.Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for:Accessions patient specimens.Enters patient demographics, clinical history, specimen biopsy information into the laboratory information system; prints and attaches to the original requisition in preparation of case for the Pathologist.Be able to assist putting together cases for distribution to Pathology.Prints out slides and cassettes for patient specimens.Work with practices to resolve any discrepancies.Answers phones and respond to inquiries and requests from practices.Files slides, blocks, requisitions, pathology reports, business document, etc.Assist with unpacking supplies - placing them in the proper storage location and dating the appropriate itemsOther duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent1-2 years' experience in medical practice or similar settingGastro Health is the largest gastroenterology multi-specialty group in the country.
