Check out the details below:Title:--Medical Coding SpecialistJob Type:--Permanent / Direct HireSpecialty:--Outpatient - Orthopedic / Surgery CenterLocation:--Catonsville, MDSchedule:--Full-Time, 40hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30-5PMPay:--hourly pay, based on experience, plus a superior benefits packageThe Surgical Billing and Coding Specialist--is solely responsible for ensuring all surgeries are processed and accounted for. Responsibilities include:- Downloads all surgical notes from the various hospitals- Prepares the billing/coding- Enters the surgical charges- Tracks/balances all surgeries- Communicates in follow up with physicians via email for any questionable codes or missing documentation- Educates physicians on coding updates related to certain surgical procedures- Handles registration of the On Calls, and enters surgical appointments and related chargesRequirements:- Certified Professional Coder - CPC- Orthopaedic billing experience- Knowledge of surgical coding principles and authorization requirements- Seeking someone who thrives in a fast paced setting, works well with minimal supervision, excellent accuracy and attention to detailAPPLY TODAY with an updated resume to be considered!
