Job Description The Government Compliance Analyst leads and performs responsibilities related to government accounting, assurance activities, and business process improvement initiatives in the Combat Mission Systems business unit. Primary duties and responsibilities are:Leads special projects and drives continuous improvement in Government Compliance processes and performance.Interacts with multiple business areas within the business units as it relates to compliance issues.Maintains familiarity with industry practices, trends and applications to enhance the organization's capabilities.Advises manager on new developments and evolving organizational needs and required competencies that may be identified during the normal course of work.Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to various business locations to conduct assurance activities.Providing written and verbal summaries of results of assurance activities. This will typically involve the use of established templates, but some original writing (e.g. small "white papers") will occasionally be required. Conducting interviews with employees and managers.Assists in preparation of compliance data and reports required by the company, U.S. Government agencies and in conjunction with contract specifications (Disclosure Statements, incurred cost submittals, forward pricing rates, cost impacts, provisional billing rates). This includes participating in audits with DCAA and negotiations with DCMA.Reviewing transactions, estimates, supporting documentation, etc., mostly via electronic files, although same reviews of paper-based files will be necessary.Reviews, prepares and submits responses to audit findings.Maintains compliance with policies and procedures to assist in maintaining strong internal controls with appropriate segregation of duties, and follows proper approval protocols.Performing physical verifications (e.g. inventory and asset verifications).Conducting labor compliance floor checks.These activities will often be performed at locations away from the direct supervisor. Some degree of ability to work independently will be needed. Some activities may be performed at businesses outside of Combat Mission Systems, across the broader Sector.**We would prefer a candidate within commutable distance of York PA but remote work will be considered with travelRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelors Degree and six years professional experience in a business role (e.g. accounting, finance, audit, estimating, procurement).Experience in an assurance / audit role related to accounting or procurementExperience in apply FAR/DFARS/CAS requirements in an accounting, finance, estimating or procurement environment.Experience with interacting professionally with employees from multiple functions.Finance and/or Accounting background with strong analytical skills related to Defense contractingAble to manage multiple projectsAbility to gain an understanding of business process in order to drive solutions to challengesSound interpersonal skills for interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with Company and Government personnelWilling to work in a team environment, with varying skill levelsStrong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Sharp attention to detailHighly organized and disciplined in work habitsResearch and presentation skillsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with using the Oracle ERP system4+ of experience in Defense contracting through different business cycles, focused on Government Compliance, Program Finance, Accounting, Pricing, or Rates & BudgetsMBA or Master's Degree in Accounting (preferred but not required)CPA or CMA preferablePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $90373 - $153634Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
