About the Role
As Executive Director, you will:
Provide strategic leadership in alignment with our mission and vision
Champion the Market's identity as a safe, vibrant, and fresh-food destination
Oversee daily operations, finances, and staff
Lead development efforts including fundraising, grant writing, and business partnerships
Support Market stand holders and promote local entrepreneurship
Collaborate with the Central Market Trust Board, City of Lancaster, and other key stakeholders
You'll be directly responsible for ensuring the long-term vitality of Central Market, both as a historical treasure and a modern retail and community hub.
Your Impact Will Include:
Stewarding relationships with donors, volunteers, vendors, and community partners
Guiding and empowering a dedicated team (Assistant Director, Market Manager, SNAP Coordinator)
Shaping and executing strategy, budget planning, and capital improvement projects
Serving as the face and voice of the Market in the Lancaster community and beyond
