Manufacturing Operations Engineering Team in Baltimore/Elkridge, MD
seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This is a 1st

seeking manufacturing engineers who are passionate about designing
and creating manufacturing processes that enable rapid product
delivery schedules with the highest quality. The manufacturing
engineer will support our highly automated SMT manufacturing
environment. Manufacturing engineers are the process owners who
have responsibility for ensuring successful delivery of production
hardware. Process development, equipment support, and analysis of
failure trends, root cause/ corrective actions. What You'll Get to
Do : Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes related
to SMT routing and manufacturing Troubleshoot and support complex
manufacturing equipment Compile data and analyze manufacturing
process for process control Collaborate with cross-functional
engineering teams to develop and implement process improvements and
solutions Support operators and technicians through troubleshooting
and training Monitor product yields and maintain program yield
targets Support program meetings in developing root cause and
corrective actions Attend program meetings to report yield issues,
yield detractor investigation finding, and corrective actions
Interface with manufacturing management, technicians, production
engineers, design engineers, system engineers, program management
and program support teams The successful candidate will have a
working knowledge of manufacturing engineering and Lean Six Sigma
concepts. They will have analytical skills to review requirements,
engineering drawings, and translate into manufacturing processes
that produce conforming products. They should be self-directed,
organized, team oriented with an ability to effectively communicate
across teams, and have previous experience with MS Office tools.
This is a 1st shift position. This position may be filled as an
Engineer Manufacturing 2 role. Basic Qualifications for the
Engineer Manufacturing 2: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical
engineering or related STEM field and a minimum of 2 years of
relevant experience; or a master’s degree in mechanical engineering
or related STEM field and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics and
block diagrams Experience with Depanel routing equipment or other
SMT related processes Able to operate highly automated equipment
safely Experience with Troubleshooting complex equipment to ensure
adequate availability and performance U.S. Citizenship Preferred
Qualifications: Previous Experience running Depanel equipment in
the SMT environment Experience with G-Code Programming and CAM
software Understanding of GD&T and measurement methods
Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) Knowledge of
cutting tools and routing parameter optimization Hands-on
troubleshooting of complex manufacturing equipment Primary Level
Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00 The above salary range
represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers
a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the
scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime,
shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base
pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions
as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees
in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long
Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety
of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and
disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid
time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The
