Job Description:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled and
motivated Senior Construction Manager to oversee and drive the
construction of AWS Data Centers throughout the South East American
region. This role is key to supporting the rapid expansion and
infrastructure enhancement within AWS, ensuring that all projects
meet our high standards of operational efficiency, sustainability,
and innovation. The Senior Construction Manager will lead
cross-functional teams through the design and construction phases,
providing technical leadership and ensuring compliance with local
codes and AWS standards. Plan, direct, coordinate, and lead
activities of Data Center construction projects to ensure that
goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame
and funding parameters. Review project proposals and plans to
determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for
accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of
available resources. Provide technical direction and guidance, as
well as hands-on project management for all construction projects,
including compliance with energy efficiency standards and
sustainability goals. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and
others involved in the project to ensure specifications are
followed. Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
Ensure safety regulations are followed and promotes a culture of
safety. Manage and resolve issues related to the public that arise
during construction. Deliver regular progress reports to higher
management and stakeholders. Expertise in project management and
construction management practices. Knowledge of structural
engineering, electrical systems, and civil engineering. Strong
leadership and negotiation skills. Proficiency in using project
management tools and software. Excellent communication and
interpersonal abilities. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision

certification or equivalent. LEED Accredited Professional (LEED
AP). Certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) training.
