Job Description Job Description Mechanical Assembler Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate consistent, high-quality workmanship and possess the ability to interpret technical drawings and perform complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role requires collaboration across departments, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Materials. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks with moderate to high complexity. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Use hand and power tools proficiently to complete assembly operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery. Maintain high standards of workmanship and adhere to safety and quality protocols. Document work processes and follow established manufacturing procedures. Required Skills Proficiency in using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly. Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings and schematics. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and visual acuity. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience working in a contract manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical manufacturing processes. Familiarity with assembling: Conveyors and large mechanical systems Complex military/defense box builds UL508a control panels Cable and wire harnesses Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements. Projects vary daily, requiring flexibility and adaptability. Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ELKRIDGE, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
