Job Description Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION:ELECTRICAL
JOURNEYMAN/APPRENTICE SALARY: To be determined based on knowledge
and experience EDUCATION REQUIREMENT AND EXPERIENCE: High school
diploma or GED; Related experience including apprenticeship
training and/or field experience. Preferably enrolled in or a
graduate of an approved electrical apprenticeship program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Be goal oriented · Work in
a team environment · Establish a sense of urgency · Has excellent
communication skills. · Work includes the construction of special
electrical apparatus and fixtures and the preparation for
construction, repair, and installation projects. · Work is
performed under general direction of a superintendent and job
foreman then is reviewed through discussions and inspection of
completed work. · Enforces safety regulations, rules, and working
conditions. · Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a
Pre-Employment Drug Screening. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES ·
Knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment, materials, and
tools of the electrical trade. · Knowledge of the occupational
hazards and safety precautions of the work. · Knowledge of the
National Electrical Code for electrical installations. · Ability to
interpret and work from instructions, penciled plans and sketches,
and blueprints. · Ability to communicate and coordinate with
superiors, subordinates, vendors and subcontractor personnel. ·
Ability to estimate materials needed for work tasks. · Skill in the
use and care of all hand and shop tools and equipment of the
electrician's trade. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS · The
overall nature of the position requires physical effort and
occasional physical exertion. · There is some exposure to
environmental conditions when on construction sites. · The constant
physical demands of the position are talking and hearing · The
frequent physical demands of the position are standing, walking,
carrying, pushing, pulling, handling, lifting, repetitive motions,
and eye/hand/foot coordination. · Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT · Employees must wear hard
hats, eye protection, hearing protection (where required),
safety-toe protective footwear (ANSI Z41), gloves and clothing as
required by industry/construction safety standards or as deemed
necessary by Company safety policy and procedure. Company
