Description The Accounting Assistant Intern will work closely with the CFO, Controller, and the rest of the management team. Responsibilities · Assist with Accounts payable & receivables. · Ensure all records are kept accurate and are available for internal and external review and compliance · Filing and renaming documents for audit/billing support · Assist on other assigned tasks by other peers, managers · Must be proactive and have strong communications skills · Ability to learn complex accounting systems (Deltek & CostPoint) · Must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve and demonstrate professionalism and a positive work ethic. · Intermediate to Expert Excel skills Requirements Requirements · BS or BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (desired) · Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure · Strong communication skills for interfacing with co-workers, peers, management, project managers, and customers. · Ability to prioritize work and meet any sudden deadlines · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Must be available to work additional hours when needed during month-end close or if any special projects are assigned.
