their community. What does this job do specifically? Position
Summary: The Staff Accountant Grants (SAG) will support finance
operations. This position ensures accurate grant accounting,
financial reporting, and compliance with federal, state, and
private funding requirements. You will work cross-functionally with
Finance, Development, and Program teams to maintain fiscal
integrity, strengthen internal controls, and ensure Everstands
continued eligibility for critical grant funding Essential

financial records for allgrants in accordance with organizational
policies andgrantrequirements. Prepare and manage grant-related
budgets, forecasts, and expenditure reports on a monthly,
quarterly, and annual basis. Ensure timely submission of Federal
Financial Reports (FFR) via the Payment Management System (PMS).
Monitor and reconcile grant spending vs. budget, flagging potential
variances and recommending corrective actions. The Grants
Accountant will be the primary contact of the Subgrantees within
the Finance team. Track grant receivables and deferred revenue to
ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition. Lead/Support budget
development for new grant proposals and renewals in collaboration
with Development and Program teams. The Grants Accountant will be a
lead in the development process by ensuring budgets are developed
with up to date and projected financials that support the financial
stability and operations of the program. Coordinate with the
funding entitys grant administrator to ensure consistent
application of funding guidance, resolving issues or problems that
arise throughout grant administration. Integrates guidance,
requested changes, and technical assistance provided by federal
Grant Officer to current and future budget proposals. Assists in
preparing budget revisions for federal grants by gathering
financial data, reviewing allowable costs, and ensuring changes
align with grant guidelines and program needs. Process the final
grant closeout by conducting a final review of the award, making
any necessary adjustments, and closing out the award in the grant
management software (i.e. Payment Management System). Compliance &
Audit Support Ensure compliance with applicable regulations,
funding requirements, and organizational policies (e.g., OMB
Uniform Guidance for federalgrants). Serve as the grant subject
matter expert for the Finance team. Lead and prepare documentation
for annual audits, program reviews, and funder monitoring visits.
Maintain an up-to-date calendar of reporting and compliance
deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Support
implementation of internal audit recommendations related to grant
management Required Education and Experience Bachelors degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of
professional experience ingrantaccounting, nonprofit accounting,
and/or financial management. Proficiency in accounting software
such as Sage Intacct is a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP and
OMB Uniform Guidance for federal funds. Excellent analytical,
organizational, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and
the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for
collaboration with various teams. Preferred Education and
Experience Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related
field with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience
ingrantaccounting, nonprofit accounting, and/or financial
management. Experience working withgrantmanagement systems or
tools. Familiarity with federalgrantprocesses, including pre- and
post-award management. Experience in nonprofit environments with a
focus on social impact or community-focused projects. Demonstrated
ability to identify inefficiencies and improve processes related
